Completely agree! Nothing is ever, ever this or that. What I was told by the women I interviewed (coming soon...) is that adoption itself, the industry, is the issue. That rather than adoption, if a child needs to be out of the home, there be guardianship (no replacing of biological parents' names on birth certificates, for example), and that placing a child with strangers be the very last option. I think the point Lina is making is that when money is involved, it's too easy for agencies/governments/people to make child welfare secondary to personal gain.
