Hi, Ali! That one drives me crazy, too, for the same reason. But also because it isn’t about our minds, at all, or us knowing what we want (or not). If it were a matter of simple trust, they would question any decision we make. For example, if we were to say at any age (from first words and up), “I can’t wait to be a mommy,” they would say, “Are you sure? That’s a really big decision, you know! You might change your mind when you get older.”
But no one does question it. We’re trusted to know exactly what we want — as long as we want children.
