I don’t see how being the person in control of who is or isn’t approached romantically is adding to the responsibility. If women want to approach a man, they should approach him. If they don’t want to talk to him, they won’t approach him. It’s not about adding to a burden any more than using birth control is taking on a burden. It’s a freedom. It’s control. It’s not sitting back and waiting for someone else — or trusting someone else — to do it for us.
