I have no doubt that things are harder for women raising children on their own either by choice or because they were the responsible ones when the fathers bailed and left them with the task. Everything is harder when you have kids, even if you’re coupled. As for the “victory lap,” you sound like you’d be delighted if women couldn’t survive without men. Why is that, I wonder?
