I think my husband would have wanted to take a bag, too, if I were lugging three and he was empty-handed. But I would want to do the same for him (what kind of jerk am I to be empty handed?). And I totally understand that we go with what we know. I think I was just surprised by it happening even with younger women. I’d assumed they were being taught differently. Nope!
