I was telling my husband recently that many men automatically think what they do is so interesting that women will want to watch them. “Watch me play football/ride my dirt bike/play a video game” etc. Women don’t expect to be watched, don’t need to be watched in the same way for validation. Maybe it’s that many men simply think - or have been brought up to believe - they’re the only interesting people in the world.
