If everyone else views you as a woman, though - if you are the only one who sees you as a man - should you be expected then to dress and behave as, and call yourself, a woman? Because what you’re arguing is that a person must be what others say they are. If you want to call yourself a man, you are free to do so. It’s none of anyone else’s business.
