It’s simple. 1. We have 8 billion+ (and growing) people on the planet. 2. It’s illogical to jump to the conclusion that everyone will choose to stop having children. Many people want and will always want them (vs have them because they think it’s an obligation). 3. The more people we add, the more people we’ll have to continue to add (exponentially) in order to care for the people who are already here; the fewer we have, the fewer we’ll need in the future to care for the smaller population. The West isn’t changing - there have always been people who don’t want, and find ways not to have, children. Those who have them happily and willingly will likely raise them better, making better citizens, and creating a better world. Forced children living with resentful parents who felt mandated to have children isn’t a recipe for success.
