Oh. Well, no system is perfect. ;) Legally he would have to, the laws being what they are, and it would obviously be better for the child IF the person who wants the child absolutely cannot afford it, but it does seem unfair to force someone who never wanted to be a parent or fund the raising of a child to do it, anyway. Maybe if the person who suddenly wants to keep it is aware they'll get the required minimum, they'll think hard first.
