Thank you, Natalie. I was utterly ignorant until recently of any and all of it, and after learning more I couldn't believe the "win-win" narrative continued to thrive. Especially in this "pro-child" country. That there's so little empathy for the parents who are separated from their children is mind-blowing, and the same goes for the children separated from their parents. (By that I mean you'd think there'd be enough concern for their welfare, and whether they NEED to be separated from their parents, to do everything possible to make sure only those in desperate need of a new home end up in one.)
