Unfortunately, too many other people don’t experience that shift, and for those who do, this love they've discovered doesn't necessarily extend beyond their own front door. So, it’s better for kids and parents if parents go into it fully ready, willing, and happy about it. The best way to do that is to not treat having kids as if it’s as inconsequential as buying a couch.
