You seem to have not read the piece carefully, and you’re also wrongly suggesting racism is over. Who is the “we” who have made progress? If we’d made so much progress as White people, we’d be done discriminating by now and we would also, by the way, pay attention, listen, and give the same credence to what Black people have to say (such as in articles like this) rather than being dismissive and condescending.

If you really want the answers to your questions, if they were more than either baiting or rhetorical, one place to start is the Netflix doc 13TH. I’m not nearly as educated about these matters as I should be, so there are probably many more resources that might be even more immediately illuminating, but that’s the first one that comes to mind. Highly recommend.
